My name is Mike. As you can deduce from my previous posts I'm a Christian...Roman Catholic, to be specific. While I'm what they call a "cradle Catholic", it's been a long time coming here to where I fully recognize/embrace my Christian faith as the pinnacle of everything I am...my identity...my purpose...my life. I'm historically a late bloomer......let's just say it's been a slow burn (i.e. I'm no saint...but I'm trying).
What else? I'm a bicentennial baby.
I was born a Virginian. I come from a large family in Fredericksburg (my mom was one of nine). This sprawling, crazy family is the most important thing in my life and the biggest blessing from God.
I am an Auburn man. I went to college at Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama, "The Loveliest Village On The Plains", and loved it so much I lived there 10 years. I love the South.
I'm also proud of my Irish heritage...it's pretty watered down but I love it nonetheless.
I'm sure I'll revisit all this in much greater detail in future posts. I'll post about what's going on in my life, as well as what's going on in the world. Mostly (and most importantly), I'll spend a lot of time talking about the things I love best in life....whether it be people, sports teams, films, music, books, fishing and other outdoors pursuits, etc. It'll be like first grade "show and tell".....good times.
Speaking of good times, LOST is coming on tonight and it's a Desmond-centric episode, which all the LOST faithful knows that means it's gonna be epic. I'm excited. I don't know whether I want to attempt a live play-by-play blog or just post after the episode with my thoughts. We'll see.

Hey Mike.
ReplyDeleteWow. I can't tell you what your comment on our blog meant to us.
Sometimes I get tired of sharing my thoughts, of trying to get the words out, of wondering if it's silly to be a blogger. But then God always reminds me at just the right time.
So thank you for writing that all up. It was such a blessing to hear that you've found our little space of the web to be something you've enjoyed. I am glad. :-)
Please do keep blogging yourself. It'll be hard sometimes, but you won't regret the journey.
May the Lord bless you as live(and write) for Him.
:-)
