Epic how exactly?

There is no way I can top that first post...it's literally perfect. It's all downhill from here. *sigh*

You're probably wondering how I settled on the name "Epic Mike" for my firstborn blog. So seemingly presumptuous, eh? Well, let me set the record straight....if the name of my blog had to be accurately descriptive, I'd have gone with "Alright, I guess Mike" or "He'll do, I s'pose Mike" or even "He don't look like much but he'll run Mike", but those don't exactly roll off the tongue.

Luckily, this isn't about me but rather who I aspire to be. We are all called to be part of something infinitely larger and greater than ourselves. Pretty heady stuff. Pretty epic stuff.

"Epic Mike" is how the Lord sees me...who He created me to be....and I'm finally willing to buy into that. It's a million miles to where He wants me, and I'm on foot.....but He promised if I follow Him I'd get there, and I believe Him. Maybe this blog is one of those steps.

He makes the same offer to all of us.

So...this blog will serve as equal parts journal, photo album, time machine, think tank, soapbox, love song and probably a lot more. It'll be bursting at the seams. I reserve the right to be wrong about everything I post as I reserve the right to have a poorly designed blog...hopefully my understanding about life will improve along with my blog design skills.
