The only thing more shocking than this rapidly increasing prevalence, is how little has been to address this issue affecting so many families.
The response from the goverment in terms of research funding is laughable. The medical and health community seems more interested in staunchly defending what it isn't, rather than exploring what it is. The ways in which schools are failing these precious kids and their families is atrocious and shameful.
I myself knew very little about Autism, until my second-cousin Ethan was diagnosed back in 2004.
Pray for all the families trying to cope with this disorder.
Pray also that our government wakes up and does more to discover what is causing this and what can be done to prevent and treat it.
