On the topic of Ricola

Well, since I first learned of their existence from this mid-90's commercial up to about a year ago, I avoided Ricola cough drops like the plague. If someone offered one or suggested I try one, I would make the most disdainful, sourpuss face.

Somehow I got it into my head that these cough drops must taste like something between a rotten garlic bud and a wet mountain goat.
I'm blaming the words "organic" and "herb" used in the commercials. For some reason this conjures up ideas of strange flavors. Maybe it was the bag they came in looking like something that would contain seeds for garden planting. I don't know.

So I finally decided to have one of the "honey herb" Ricolas to deal with a sore throat....and it was the tastiest cough drop ever!

There's a lesson to be learned here...something about not pre-judging because you could find yourself missing out on something pretty great.

RIIIIIIIIIIIIICOLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!
